Off-piste Skiing in Serre-Chevalier, Montgenèvre and Puy-Saint-Vincent

Come explore the excellent off-piste skiing of these neighboring resorts in the Southern Alps

A bit further south of La Grave, the Hautes-Alpes department is home to other incredible ski resorts. The resort of Serre-Chevalier is the most famous of them and stretches from Briançon to Monêtier-les Bains in the Guisane valley, at the border of the Ecrins National Park. It is the largest ski resort of the Southern Alps and offers all types of aspects as well as a vast larch tree forest with endless possibilities for off-piste skiing in a stunning mountain environment, especially around the area of Monêtier-les-Bains. Montgenèvre is a ski resort located above Briançon between the Vallée de la Clarée and Val di Susa. It is part of the Via Lattea ski resort, which also includes the Italian resorts of Clavière and Sestrières. It provides diverse top-notch off-piste skiing, and conditions here become simply exceptional when these regions get hit by powerful winter storms coming from the east, delivering huge amounts of snowfall! As for Puy-Saint-Vincent, it is located in the heart of the Écrins massif. It is also named 'the protégé of the winds' for it is ideally protected by the highest summits of the Ecrins. It mostly has north-facing slopes, guaranteeing very good snow quality, to the delight of powder fans. We can also find endless options around this resort, enjoying great skiing in its larch forests and in the Vallon de Narreyroux, offering stunning views of the Pelvoux.
