A significant ice climb that is both aesthetic and technical
Located down valley from the small village of Les Fréaux and on the north side of the Malaval valley, 'Orgasme' is a stunning climb for someone who already has some experience ice climbing. The approach is short and easy from the parking lot of the Pont de Chardillon, where we can cross the Romanche river over a small bridge. We quickly reach the base of the icefall, and look up at its 8 pitches stretching over 300 meters. A short ice wall is followed by nice sustained pitches interspersed with steeper sections. We will rappel down for the descent. Grade: 4+ Vertical: +530m/+1738ft (+280m/+918ft of ice climbing)
